Summer Favorites

Hey guys! I wanted to share with you all a couple of things that I've been loving recently for this summer.

1) Stretch Upper Arm Band (Color- Gunmetal)- Free People  I feel like this is the perfect statement accessory for summer. It looks great with dresses, crop tops, and even a bikini.

2). Kimchi Blue Lace Triangle Bra (Color- White)- Urban Outfitters  This just screams sexy to me. This is perfect for when you're wearing a muscle tank. It gives it that edgy but sexy look to the outfit.

3). Cara- Windsor Smith So I've been obsessing over these shoes for a long time now. It's the perfect sandals for summers. The croc texture gives any outfit more of a chic look to it. This is great to wear with any outfit really.

4). Indy New York Nori- Triangle Swimwear If you want a sexy and different bikini then Triangle Swimwear is the right one for you. What I love most about their bikinis are the texture and quality of them. It's just all around a great bikini to have..so I would definitely recommend it.

5). Black Quilted Backpack- River Island So I've never been a backpack kind of gal but recently I've been obsessing over them. I've been having those days where I don't feel like carrying a purse so I'll throw a backpack on and I'm good to go. This one from River Island is so chic and I love the quilt texture.

Detox Water

Hey guys! Today I'm bringing you guys a recipe I've been trying for a while now and I wanted to share it with you guys. This recipe is a detox water recipe and basically what a detox water does is clean out all the bad toxics that are inside your body. The recipe is really simple...all you need is:
1 Lemon
1 Orange
1 Cucumber
Once you have those three items just cut about two slices or each item and pour it into your water. Let it sit overnight (or just a couple of minutes if you're that thirsty) and enjoy! I've been drinking this everyday and what I've noticed is that my skin as cleared a lot! Not only that but I've noticed that I haven't been as hungry as I use to be.  *Warning: you will pee a lot if you drink this!*
Another thing to add..if you're a fan of mint leaves then you can add mint leaves. I've heard it's better to add mint to your water but I'm not a fan of mint...so yeah. Hope you guys enjoy this healthy recipe and enjoy the rest of your weekend! xx

Festival Fever: Do's and Don'ts

The time has finally come...festival session is finally here! It is the time we all have been waiting for...well at least for me it is. I love going to festivals because the atmosphere is filled with joy and positivity and of course great fashion. Coachella '14 is going to kickoff this weekend in California. And for those who can't make it, you can watch the lifestream on Youtube which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/user/coachella . However if you are attending a major festival like; Coachella, Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza, here are some do's and don'ts that will make your experience a lot better.

Clothing DO's:
When going to any festival, we all know it's hot throughout the whole day. So a major thing to wear at a festival is loose and that will keep you cool through out the daytime. High waisted shorts, maxi skirts, loose pants, crop tops, hats are all examples of things that will keep you cool.
Clothing DONT's:
You want to stay away from anything that is tight or that will make you hot. So wearing jeans or a tight long sleeve shirt is a no go.

Shoes DO's:
Being comfortable is key to festival because of the amount of walking you'll be doing. So you want to wear shoes that won't make your feet hurt. Some good shoes to wear are sneakers or booties.
Shoes DONT's:
Wearing sandals is a no go. Why? Because there is mud all over the place. But if you're one of those people that don't care getting their feet dirty then power to you. I'm the kind of person that hates getting their feet dirty. Another don't is no heels! I see a lot of girls wear booties with a big heel at festivals. And by the first couple of hours they're already complaining. So if you do plan on wearing booties, make sure the heel isn't too big.

And of course make sure to drink lots of water and most importantly have fun! This is the time to let loose and enjoy the people and music. What festivals are you excited to attend this year?

Foster the People: Supermodel

So as some of you may know, today Foster the People released a new album called Supermodel. This album has been on repeat all day today! I'm so happy they are back...because it's been a while since their last album. If you haven't heard the album then you should go have a quick listen to it. I recommend the songs: Pseudologia Fantastica, Are You What Want to Be?, and Fire Escape.

Can we just take a moment and reflect how amazing these pieces are? Bravo to Nicolas Ghesquiere for putting together a beautiful ready to wear collection. What I love the most about his collection is way he styled such classic silhouettes in a unique way. Having such big shoes to fill in after Marc Jacobs leaving, I think he did an astonishing job by still keeping the brand name strong. I can not wait to see what else he pulls out of the bag.
